This trip is ideal for travelers with little time to spare and on a tight budget. Spend quality time inthe Etosha National Park, a sanctuary to some of Namibia’s most popular animal species.

 

Trace the natively mysterious and wonderful rock engravings at the Twyfelfontein site, search for desert adapted elephants in the Huab river. Explore the German colonial footprint of Swakopmund, the small coastal town.

 

And last but not least, discover the Namib, one of the oldest deserts in the world and unfold the spectacular sand dunes of Sossusvlei and the wonderful Sesriem canyon.

Day 1: Arrival/Windhoek

Arrival at the Windhoek International Airport. You are welcomed to Namibia by your non private English speaking tour guide. During the short drive to Windhoek, you will receive useful information regarding the customs and ways of the country and get your first feel of Namibia.

Day 2: Etosha National Park

Your memorable trip starts today. Drive to Etosha National Park, and experience some of the world's most beautiful wildlife encounters. Famous for its floodlit waterhole Okaukuejo Rest Camp was formerly a military outpost founded in 1901 and its characteristic stone tower was added in 1963. After sunset floodlights illuminate the waterhole. This is the best time and place to see the endangered black rhino. This archaic mammal can often be seen drinking alongside lions and elephants.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

Okaukuejo Rest Camp

Today you look forward to a fresh day of exciting game viewing in the Etosha National Park, spend time near the waterholes. The park is mainly characterized by a huge salt pan that can even be seen from thousands of feet above ground.

Day 4: Damaraland

Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp

Your trip takes you into the Damaraland and explore remote areas that are still very untouched. With a network of dry riverbeds and acacia plains, this area is a preferred habitat of the desert-adapted elephants and the rare black rhino. The trail accessible only by 4x4 vehicles will lead you to the charming Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp. If lucky, you may spot desert elephants, giraffes, oryx along the way.

Day 5: Damaraland

Day 8: Sossusvlei

Today you drive into the Namib desert. Enroute to Sossusvlei, drive through the Kuiseb Canyon where the German geologist and author of the book "sheltering desert", Dr. Henno Martin, took refuge during World War II.

Day 9: Sossusvlei

Desert Camp

Depart early to the world’s tallest sand dunes at Sossusvlei. The first sunrays cast an ever-changing contrast of light and shadow onto the apricot-colored dunes. You are guaranteed a full day of wowing impressions.

Day 10: Windhoek/Departure

Windhoek

Spoil your self to a hot balloon or helicopter flight over desert immediately after sunrise. Afterwards, scenic drive through the changing landscape of the Namib desert and fade into the khomashighland mountain range enroute to Windhoek International Airport. Your guide bids you warm farewell and you embark on your homeward journey.

  • Transport in a 4x4 vehicle from day 1 to day 10;
