Day 1: Arrival/Windhoek

Upon arrival at the Windhoek International Airport, you’re welcomed by your non private English speaking tour guide. During your short drive to Windhoek, you will be introduced to the customs and ways of the country and get a first impression of the Namibian landscape. A tour of the city introduces you to the multicultural flair of Windhoek witnessed by its mixture of colonial structures and modern buildings of the 21st century. You overnight at Arebbusch Travel Lodge which is located in one of the last remaining green spaces in Windhoek.
Day 2: Otjiwarongo

Otjiwa Lodge
Your Namibian experience begins heading north to Otjiwarongo. You make a quick stop to visit the woodcarver’s market in Okahandja. Continue traveling north, you arrive at your lodge not later than noon. Otjiwa Safari Lodge is one of the oldest private game farms in Namibia, which offers about 25 different game species, such as giraffes, zebra, springbuck and mainly the white Rhino, and if you are lucky enough, you will also spot a leopard roaming its freedom. Otjiwa is 12,000 hectares in total and have up to 21 water dams, each with its own natural habitat and bird life.
Day 3: Etosha National Park

Your trip takes you further north where the Etosha National Park is waiting for you. Etosha National Park, whose name means "great white space", is located in the northwest of Namibia and is the largest park in Namibia. It covers more than 22,000 km², it is home to 114 species of mammals, 340 species of birds of which about a third are migratory and 110 species of reptiles. The fauna is attracted by perennial water sources as well as man-made watering holes. During the dry season, their gathering around these areas provides good photographic opportunities. The vegetation is varied: from dense bush to wide open plains, it attracts an exceptional diversity of wildlife, and provides a variety of different landscape changing as you move through the reserve. At the heart of the park is a vast area of land 120km long and 72km wide Pan, which means dry water, was originally an inland sea, which over time became a Salt Lake and then dried up about 12 million years ago.
Day 4: Etosha National Park

During your game drive to the eastern side of the park, you can expect to see abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes and on the open plains. Dedicate a full day exploring the Etosha National Park in search of lions, elephants, the eland (the largest antelope), the Damara dik-dik (the smallest antelope), giraffes and more. Etosha is Namibia's most famous national park and rightly one of the great highlights of the country. If you would like to experience Etosha in a different way, Mushara Lodge offers morning and afternoon guides trips into the park in open 4x4 vehicles (optional activities).

Okaukuejo Rest Camp
Famous for its floodlit waterhole Okaukuejo Rest Camp was formerly a military outpost founded in 1901 and its characteristic stone tower was added in 1963. After sunset floodlights illuminate the waterhole. This is the best time and place to see the endangered black rhino. This archaic mammal can often be seen drinking alongside lions and elephants.
Day 6: Twyfelfontein

Twyfelfontein Adventure Camp
Your adventure takes you further west to the rugged Twyfelfontein area. In the afternoon an excursion with your guide and 4x4 vehicle takes you in search of desert-adapted elephants in the dry beds of the Huab and/or Aba-Huab rivers. Desert elephants are not a separate species of elephant, but African savannah elephants, Loxodonta Africana, which have adapted to the extreme arid conditions. Once widespread in Africa, they are now found only in Namibia and Mali. In the morning before heading to Swakopmund visit the Twyfelfontein site to see some of the ancient rock engravings.
Day 7: Spitzkoppe

Today you drive south to the Spitzkoppe Lodge situated on the northern periphery of the Spitzkoppe inselberg, between huge granite boulders, which were created more than 150 million years ago, with breath taking views onto the Brandberg and Erongo Mountains. The Spitzkoppe is an imposing granite mass in the desert plains, located south of the Brandberg massif, 180 km northeast of Swakopmund and 51 km west of Usakos. It is one of those "inselbergs" that dominate the Namib Desert at a height of 1728 metres. Its spectacular shape as a pointed hill has earned it the nickname "Matterhorn of Namibia". You overnight at Spitzkoppen Lodge, this way you can explore the spectacular scenery of the Spitzkoppe and its magnificent boulders on a short morning walk with your guide. You also have a chance to take some unforgettable landscape photos or just enjoy the scenery.
Day 8: Swakopmund

After a morning explore of the spectacular scenery of the Spitzkoppe and its magnificent boulders, you continue travelling west to the Atlantic Ocean, here a small coastal town Swakopmund is waiting to be discovered by you. You can visit the museum, the aquarium or the Kristall Gallerie. Founded in 1892 and the main German port in Southwest Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany! Now a seaside resort, Swakopmund is the capital of the "Skeleton Coast" tourist region. It has many tourist attractions to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The original mix of German and Namibian influences, the colonial buildings and the cool sea breeze give a typical character to this popular destination.
Day 9: Swakopmund

Namib Guest House
A fun filled day is waiting for you. In the morning we recommend an excursion to Walvis Bay, Namibia's main seaport. Here you can participate in a three-hour boat cruise to the seal colonies at Pelican Point. During this trip, you will be accompanied by different seabirds and with luck also by dolphins, whales, sunfish, and turtles and a seal might even join you on the boat. Before returning to shore, you can taste fresh Atlantic oysters, complemented by a glass of sparkling wine. After exploring the marine life, you will participate in an afternoon guided excursion in 4x4 vehicle to the Sandwich Harbour, where the dunes and the sea meet (not private).
Day 10: Sossusvlei

Today’s journey takes you into the heart of the Namib Desert, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way you pass the Kuiseb Canyon, where the two German geologists Hermann Korn and Dr. Henno Martin took refuge during World War II. The latter is the author of the book "Sheltering Desert”. Previously inaccessible, as part of the restricted diamond zone, Sossusvlei was opened to the public in 1977. The splendour of the Namib Desert is accessible here, filled with a breathtaking sea of dunes. Giant dunes, amongst the highest in the world, some of them up to 300m high. Dunes as far as the eye can see, wild and romantic. All the colours, all the ochres, all the mauves are revealed according to the path of the sun, from pink to purple, from pale orange to bright red, from apricot to blood red.
Day 11: Sossusvlei

Namib Desert Lodge
The best time to visit this magical place is from sunrise, you depart from the lodge about 45 minutes before sunrise and drive to Sossusvlei, a clay pan surrounded by some of the world’s tallest sand dunes. The most powerful forces of our planet, sun, wind and water, formed this sandy landscape over a period of 80 million years. Enjoy the spectacular sight or some of the highest dunes in the world and the morning colours of the Namib Desert. Before returning to your lodge, visit the Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge carved millions of years ago by the once mighty Tsauchab River.
Day 12: Windhoek

The end of your Namibian experience is nearing. But, hold on, why not spoil yourself with an optional activity of a hot air balloon or helicopter flight over the desert just after sunrise before travelling back to Windhoek. You travel through beautifully ever-changing landscape via the Khomashochland mountain range and arrive in Windhoek at noon. You have a leisure afternoon. Overnight at Auas Safari lodge situated less than an hour’s drive from Windhoek International Airport, this piece of paradise lies in the shade of the Auas Mountains. Fourteen well-appointed luxury rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private terraces offer respite after a long drive. Early evenings are spent sipping your favorite drink on the veranda as the sun sets over the African savannah.
Day 13: Departure

Departure
It’s time to say goodbye to Namibia (check-out is at 10h00). After a relaxed breakfast, you are transferred to Windhoek International Airport. Your guide bids farewell to you and you start your homeward journey.
